Message Move to cloud services.

This site can all be setup and hosted for free using cloud services, [but] the domain name has cost associated with it.

It will be a challenge albeit expensive if you decide to roll out or maintain legacy applications though, including the TT.net database that renders the search function. Try building this into a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution. ($$$) Larry Ellison would be happy to take your donations. No K-Y gel with that either.

Google SaaS, and IT web developer/maintainer support cost(s) to give you an idea of a year long contract.

But what's the objective here? Faster speeds? For who?

The last time I checked, TT.net was free to access by everyone.

If you're suffering from slower loading times try using a faster browser like Mozilla 4, Chrome, or IE9 and disable all unecessary plugins.

Otherwise they can upgrade this site to be hosted on Amazon servers and the like...yea, it would be blistering fast but bloated with pop ups and threatening ActiveX controls. Not to mention Adobe Flash. Can you say subscription?

Don't ask me how I know this...just Google my name on Linkedin.

So, here's my dictum:
leave TT.net just the way it is.
It's my biased opinion, but I cannot be more greatful to have a place to go an share knowledge about TT Zs
